Árni Sigfússon (born 30 July 1956) is the former mayor of Reykjavík, Iceland's capital and has been the mayor of the town of Reykjanesbær, Iceland since 2002.[1]
He stepped in as a mayor in Reykjavík for a few months for his party in 1994. He was on the board of Heimdallur from 1976 to 1979 and was its chairman from 1981 to 1983. He then later became the chairman of SUS.
He has mainly worked as the chief executive of the Icelandic Management Association (Stjórnunarfélagið) and the chief-executive and later the president of the large Icelandic corporation Tæknival. He studied Public Administration at the University of Tennessee in the United States.[1]
